A Little About Me

I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.

During my high school years, I was captivated by F. Scott Fitzgerald and his time in Louisville in 1918. I was a researcher even back then and dove through countless archives to write about F. Scott's time at the grand Southern hotel, The Seelbach, and the city's influence on his writing. His storytelling has always inspired me.

After graduating cum laude from Williams College, I pursued a career in medicine and earned a Medical Degree from Emory University and attended an Otolaryngology residency at New York University. Although I no longer practice medicine, my medical background significantly shapes my understanding of the human condition and women's challenges in the workforce.

As I have shifted my focus to writing historical and women's fiction, the Fitzgeralds have returned to my life. The bold, witty, and incredibly talented Zelda Fitzgerald inspires me to create characters who entertain, enlighten, and empower readers.

When I am not writing or reading, I am having fun with my husband, four amazing kids, and two messy but loveable dogs- Waffles and Willa.

I currently live outside New York City
